Park Calendar Guidelines

Upon announcing your event in this particular forum, please take an additional moment to create a corresponding event in the forum calendar.

Our calendar is intended to be the central hub for 'at-a-glance' viewing of all activities planned within and directly related to the park. You can even add a link from within a calendar event back to detailed announcement/info threads within this forum or simply post all the relevant info directly into the calendar event itself.

As a general rule, be sure to title your calendar event entry with the following naming convention in order to maintain clarity:

Type of event - Name of event

*also pay close attention that you enter the correct date in the calendar entry form as it defaults to the current day

Some examples of proper calendar event titles:
Softball tournament - Covenant League Fall Tourney
Disc Golf tournament - Christmas Classic
Pavilion Reservation* - Gray Family Reunion
Tennis tournament - Spring Tennis Finals
Cross-country running - Spring Sprint
Festival - Bark for a Park Fundraiser Concert

*pavilion reservations are made through Birmingham Parks and Rec @ 205-254-2391
